In the 1980s, a group of psychologists and educators opened Responsive Psychological Clinic on 110th Street in Overland Park, Kansas. Our founding clinicians had a goal to be responsive to the mental health needs of individuals and families in the community. We took on a few names over the years, including Responsive Centers for Psychology and Learning, and relocated to College Boulevard in search of space for greater diversity and access to care for clients. Along the way, we were joined by dozens of clinicians trained in a wide range of assessments, modalities, and specialties.
Each year, Responsive Centers serves over 3,000 clients from Overland Park to communities across the Kansas City metro area. Our care team team consists of over 30 clinicians, including therapists, psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists. In addition to counseling and psychological testing services, we provide psychiatric medication management, ketamine therapy, and pharmacogenetic testing.
